Chapter 226: Removing the Curse

Chapter 226: Removing the Curse

Cecelia stood in front of Kadyn, looking at him with nervousness as well as excitement. Her heart raced inside her chest, veins inside her head throbbing. Kadyn smiled when he saw her like that for the first time ever he met her. He had told her that he was about to get rid of her vampire bloodline—the same bloodline that troubled her for a long time.No one wanted to become someone else’s puppet, after all.

Ever since Kadyn’s parent told her the meaning of vampire bloodline, her heart and mind was filled with anxiety. Though she never let anyone see through her emotions. So her excitement was to be expected.

Kadyn eyed her and then took a deep breath, remembering the method that system had told him. All this time he had the cure, but he was searching about it somewhere else. Blessing element. Yes, it was the cure. However, the blessing element alone wasn’t powerful enough to get rid of her tainted bloodline. He needed to use his right hand that had transformed into a claw. Only after the system told him that he realized that his claw had the power to amplify elements.

The discovery thrilled him but also frustrated him. If he knew it he would have saved it for the future.

Kadyn took a deep breath and stood in front of Cecelia. "Relax," he said. "Don’t resist."

Cecelia nodded.

Kadyn placed his claw over her head and then the golden light burst out of his hand. Cecelia frowned as the golden light started seeping into her body but then pained expression appeared on her face. And soon her entire body started trembling, fumbling this way and that. A heart wrenching scream escaped from her and then she collapsed. Kadyn wiped the sweat off his temple and fell on his butt.

He successfully purified some of her tainted bloodline, but not completely. He needed to purify her bloodline a few more times to remove it.

The city was bustling with activity, towering buildings stood, some of them touching the clouds in the sky. The cars that Kadyn had never seen before could be seen on the roads, rushing back and forth. No shop sold any ordinary goods; he could see rank 2 artifacts hanging at their entrance. Some of them sold expensive clothes, of all kind. Beautiful dresses and expensive suites. There were furniture shops, and there were jewelries shops.

Kadyn was not interested in any of them, though. He just wanted to see the place where his shop will be from now on. Yes, he had arrived in the Heart of Vrilas. This was the place where not many people could establish themselves. This was the place where the competition was most intense.

"We have found a nice place in Magic Market," said Arba. "At first, sister Aleera had found a shop, but when you told her that you just wanted a piece of land we demolished the shop."

"What, really?" Kadyn opened his eyes wide. He had no idea something like that happened.

"Why, you don’t know?" asked Arba.

Kadyn rolled his eyes and eyed outside the window of the expensive car that Aleera had sent to fetch him from the shop with Arba.

It took ten more minutes for them to reach their destination. Kadyn arrived at the sight and found workers were cleaning the rubble and debris out of the field. He was once more speechless. How rich is Aleera to demolish a shop in the Heart of Vrilas?

"Let us know if you need people to build your shop," said Arba, opening the door of the car, walking out.

Kadyn nodded, but didn’t say anything.

"Alright," he said after some time, "you can go now. I can take care of the things from here on my own."

"Are you sure," she asked, eyeing him.

Kadyn grinned, replying with his confident smile. "Alright, call me if you need something. Your communication artifact has my soul imprint," she then said. "Furthermore, we have already booked a room in the Dual Spring Hotel in your name. You can also stay there if you want."

"Thanks for your hard-work."

Arba left in her long car, whatever it was called. Soon the workers cleaned the field off the rubble and left. Arba had already paid them. Kadyn looked at the new sight for his shop, grinning from ear to ear.

He lifted his head and found the sun was already about to dip into the earth on the horizon. The shops were already switching their lights on, and the streetlights also began to glow. This area was called Magic Market, so all the shops sold something magic related: artifacts, potions, spells, elemental essences, formation disks, so on and so forth. There were even magical beasts for the sell.

Kadyn walked into the field that now belonged to him and waved his hand. Everyone in his shop appeared around him. "Is this where our shop would be from now on?" asked Elora excitedly.

"Wow, look at that building!" said Kove, almost screaming with excitement. "It’s so tall!"

The road was full of light and people, but no one gave them a second glance as if they weren’t even there. "Look at those shops!" said Melvona. "They are selling beasts. Magical beasts!"

Kadyn patted her head and said, "Those beasts are for Psychic mages, only they could control them."

"Then I want my next element to be Psychic element!"

"You do?"

"Yes!"

"Alright, you will have your second element after we settle down our shop," replied Kadyn.

Melvona grinned and jumped around in excitement. Kadyn smiled and then waved his hand. Soon buildings started appearing on the plain field. That attracted some people’s attention. Kadyn didn’t bother with them and continued to do his work. Soon the entire shop was standing in front of him. His house was also there so was the restaurant. Kadyn looked at the familiar tower and the name at the top of it, Heaven’s Door, and grinned.

"Alright," said Kadyn. "Let’s rest tonight. We have a lot to do on the morrow."
