Kadyn looked at the screen in front of him, face filled with trouble and dilemma, not knowing what to choose. He gritted his teeth and finally clicked on the first option. He was already about to reach the rank 6, Assimilation magus, and he could upgrade the shop to rank 6 in a few days after completing his deal with the Magic Alliance, but he didn’t know when he would get another chance to solve the mystery about his reincarnation.
He couldn’t pass this opportunity.
He wanted to know about it.
Kadyn clicked the first option and the darkness fell in front of his eyes—he appeared at an unfamiliar place. He eyed his surrounding and realized that people were screaming, running, fighting; blood flying in the air and rolling on the ground.
This was a battlefield, but it wasn’t a battle of humans against another humans, it was something else. Humans were fighting against some kind of strange creatures with wings and horns. They had long, sharp, shining teeth, and they were fast, very fast. The scene had directly come out of hell. He had never seen something like this before, did he?
An earth shattering boom resounded in the sky, attracting everyone’s attention—Kadyn also turned to look and gasped in shock. He spotted a gigantic devil whose wings covering the entire horizon, his spiky horn glittering with a sinister color of blood.
He looked unstoppable, unbeatable, invincible—but at this moment there was a man—a human—standing in front of that abomination. He was small, tiny, and looking insignificant in front of that colossal beast but his tiny figure didn’t stop Kadyn from feeling awe and respect for that figure. Kadyn knew that he was no ordinary person. No ordinary person could stand against that abomination.
"Defeat him, Master Harrod," someone shouted from the battlefield, his eyes filled with respect and reverence when he eyed the man in the sky. He knew their lives depended on that figure in the sky, if he fell, others would either die or live life worse than death.
"Tear that ugly bastard down, Master Harrod!" another man yelled, and after those two the entire battlefield trembled with the shouts of encouragement and hope and hatred against the abominations, who invaded their world and killed their loved ones and raped their woman and ate their people.
The man looked at the battlefield below and a gentle smile appeared on his face.
Kadyn, who was looking at the man, was stunned dumb when he saw the face of the man—because it was none other than him. What the hell... he couldn’t understand what was going on. Nonetheless, before he could understand anything, Harrod turned towards the devil in the sky and said something that Kadyn failed to hear, but in return the demon laughed as if he had heard something absurd, by their expression Kadyn could guess the content of their talk.
Kadyn’s eyes widened once more in shock, because he had seen something else familiar together with Harrod. Around Harrod, there was a lotus, which had petals of different colors. Wasn’t it the World Lotus? It was Kadyn Rune! Was it just a coincident or there was something deeper hidden in this information.
"My people!" Harrod spoke, this time his voice booming on the entire battlefield. "I lost my mother and father because of these abominations when I was little. At that time I swore that one day I would slaughter every single one of these bastards. When the time came the World Lotus—the spirit of Pengolla—chose me as its master. It knows when it is under the threat of destruction.
"The spirit of this world entrusted me and placed its faith in me, I lost my parents but I received the love and care of this world, so I don’t want it to get destroyed." He looked down and smiled. "I am leaving this world in your care, please take care of it."
Suddenly, the World Lotus, that was surrounding him, started to tremble and enlarged tens of times. Harrod looked at the laughing Sephiran and said, "Even at the cost of scattering my soul, I will defeat you today!"
When Harrod’s body started to scatter only then Sephiran became alerted. "You bastard, how dare you!"
But it was already too late. The aura of lotus had already engulfed him and everyone on the battlefield. Though only Blood Tribe felt the frightening oppression coming from the World Lotus.
Harrod looked down with pained expression and said, "I am dealing with these monsters, but remember this solution is not permanent. They will come back again, at that time you have to deal by yourself." After that he rushed in the distance dragging every single member of Blood Tribe on the battlefield.
Tears pouring out of the eyes of the present people. They knew they were looking at their hero for the last time. They would never see him again. He was the Harrod—the Great Harrod, the Master and Protector of Pengolla. He was human but he was like the sword of god, cutting demons and devils and protecting the human kind. This was the last time he would protect them. The sense of loss appeared in the heart of everyone.
"Bang!"
A gigantic mushroom appeared thousands of miles away that looked like a colorful lotus.

Kadyn opened his eyes, looking confused, not understanding what was going on. Why did he see Harrod the Great and why his face looked exactly like him?
"It’s because Harrod is you, and you are Harrod," said a voice in his mind. It has been a long time since the system spoke to him, his voice surprised Kadyn, but his words shocked him. Although he had suspected as much, but the confirmation still moved him.
"If I am Harrod, then who are you?" Kadyn asked. "Are you World Lotus, the spirit of Pengolla?"
