Chapter 233: Pressure
Chapter 233: Pressure
There was a brief silence before the voice said, "You will know about it after reaching Assimilation rank."
"What?!" Kadyn said with a frown. "Didn’t the window say that I could learn the mystery about my transmigration?"
"Don’t you already have the answer?"
"But you--"
"Did it say you will learn the mystery behind the system as well?" chuckled a mocking voice. "Well, I did see no such message, did you?"
"..." ’Bastard!’
"Minus 1000 Energy Points."

Sweat dripped off his temple as he threw herb after herb in the fire and extracted their essence before molding the essence together, forming a liquid, and finally storing the liquid in a vial. He repeated the same process again and again, filling numerous vials with different kinds of potions.
The brewing of potions continued for some time before Kadyn wiped the sweat off of his face and temple with the help of a kerchief and left the room, leaving Elora and Zelie Duncan behind with some apprentices to brew more potions.
As he walked out of the Potion Hall, a shadow appeared in front of him. "Cecelia?" he asked. "What is it?"
"Slyff is here," she replied with a grave face. "He is stressed and wounded."
"What happened?"
"I don’t know," she shook her head. "He is waiting for you in the house."
Kadyn frowned and walked out of the shop before sauntering towards the house. He found Slyff sitting in the hall with a pale face. An apprentice was standing in front of him, pouring water into his glass. He looked tired and his eyes were red from sleep deprivation. "Brother Kadyn..." Slyff eyed him and gave a sad and sorrowful smile.
Kadyn took out a rank 5, Rare grade healing potion and said, "Drink it first."
Slyff nodded and gulped the entire vial down his throat. Soon some colour returned to his face and his pained expression eased to some degree. Although he still looked haggard and tired in his torn clothes, as compared to before he was way better. "Now tell me," said Kadyn as he took a seat opposite to Slyff, "what happened?"
After taking a deep breath, Slyff replied, "Blood Tribe."
"What?" Kadyn eyed him in bewilderment, not understanding what he meant.
"The Blood Tribe," he hoisted his head and peered into Kadyn’s eyes. "The vampires and Blood Tribe are attacking all over the Ivrora Continent."
"How is that possible?" said Kadyn with wide eyes. "Isn’t the Blood Tribe just a myth and fairytale?"
Slyff chuckled sorrowfully. "The fairytale which has come to reality." He paused briefly. "I almost lost my life to that myth just a few hours ago."
"Then--"
"I am here to ask for permission to evacuate and leave the Ivrora Continent," he clenched his fist and gritted his teeth, helplessness, and anger were written all over his face. "The continent has become hell on earth and if we delay for more, the shop would not be able to handle those abominations."
"Why didn’t you inform sooner?" Kadyn frowned.
"Because they hide themselves so well, that we had no idea about their existence. In the start it was a few vampires attacking here and there. It was not a big deal, but suddenly they appeared and..." He fell silent and shook his head. His body trembled when he remembered all the blood and gore and corpses of innocent, the monsters who drank their blood and ate their flesh.
"Then what are you waiting for?" Kadyn shouted, standing from his seat. "Go and bring everyone here. The Ivrora Continent is not safe anymore," he paused and said to Cecelia. "Inform the other branches as well, everyone needs to assemble here in two hours."
"Yes," Cecelia replied. She also felt ashamed; she was responsible for collecting the information and yet she failed so miserably this time. How could she not know about such a huge occurrence? There was no excuse for this blunder.
Kadyn saw a sad look and self-loathing on Cecelia’s face and knew the reason behind it, but there was no time to comfort no one. This was a time for action, not for babysitting others. This was a time for war.

As demanded by Kadyn, all the important members of the shop gathered in the hall of the house. "Some of you may already know why I have summoned you," he looked at Slyff and Nefia in the corner and went on. "But most of you are confused by this sudden summon. Then let me inform you the reason: The Blood Tribe has returned ."
Only now did Kadyn understand the reason behind the sudden mission provided by the system. The Alliance needed artifacts and potions to battle against the enemy which had awakened from sleep and was eager to swallow the entire human race. Kadyn would not let such a thing happen. Ever. He could not understand the anger and frustration he was feeling at the moment. ’Is it because I am Harrod?’
"All of you have already reached the Mature Stage and become the rank 5 mages. However, it is not enough. You need to improve your strength and reach the Assimilation Stage as soon as possible." He had seen the strength of Sephiran in his vision, he knew no rank 5 mage would be able to even stand in front of that monstrous entity.
Maybe not even rank 6 would be able to do anything to him.
Nonetheless, he wanted to improve the strength of his companions. He did not want them to die just because they lacked strength.
Kadyn eyed the people in front of him and said, "From now on, you guys just need to focus on improving your strength. Those who need to make artifacts and brew potions would also do the same after completing their given tasks. I think you all have accumulated a huge amount of points by now."
Most of them had already become Diamond rank employees and someone like Slyff, Khrom, and Barret Duncan, who were the branch leaders of their respective branches were already Radiant employees. All of them had huge amounts of Energy Points. No one could compare them except Elora and Hot Rod who were already about to become Epic employees. They were the potioneer and artifact makers, their income was far above that others.
Kadyn turned towards Cecelia and said, "Send some talented apprentice all over the Vrilas and gather any information or rumor related to the Blood Tribe."
Cecelia nodded and vanished without a trace. Her strength had improved yet again.
"Alright everyone," said Kadyn, towards his companions "now go and train hard. Do not take it lightly--if we aren’t strong enough, dying would be the easiest way to escape the miserable fate that awaits us. To protect your loved ones from dying before your own eyes, you need to fight, and to fight you need strength, and to win... you need strength greater than your opponent."
