Chapter 234: Sixth Rank Magic Shop

Chapter 234: Sixth Rank Magic Shop

Fifteen days passed swiftly. Kadyn focused on improving his strength and brewing potions. Hot Rod, Melvona, and a few others produced artifacts. Most of them had already reached the peak of the fifth rank mage; now they were striving towards the breakthrough of the sixth rank, Assimilation.

Cecelia, Khrom, Burret Duncan, Slyff, and others... unlike Kadyn, who had to brew potions in large quantities, they just needed to focus on improving their strength that’s why Kadyn, Elora, and those who made artifacts and potions were still stuck in the fifth stage. Nonetheless, they were also improving with a gradual but at constant pace. They just needed some time and they would be Assimilation Stage.

"Finally!" Kadyn grinned from ear to ear when he heard the notification that he had gathered enough Energy Points to upgrade the shop to the next stage!

[Do you want to upgrade the shop? Y/N]

Of course, he wanted to upgrade the shop. He clicked on the yes without a second thought. He was eager to learn rank six potions and spells and all the knowledge that the shop had to provide. The rank six was basically the peak of the Pengolla.

[The shop is in the process of upgrading. It will take two hours to complete]

Kadyn eyed the notification and clenched his fist in sheer excitement and anticipation, and then went to brew more potions. The war was coming, he had no time to waste.

I am thy Lord. Hearken to my bidding.

"No..." Cecelia’s eyes were closed and a pained expression appeared on her face, a dark energy gathered around her. She felt a kind of attraction towards the voice that she never felt before in her life.

I am thy Lord. Hearken to my bidding--

"Get out of my head, you damn bastard!" Cecelia screamed and punched on the concrete floor, her hand spasmed in pain, waking her up from her sluggish and confused state.

She wiped the sweat from her forehead and frowned in worry. It had been a few days since she started to hear these whispers, and the thing that terrified her most was that she wanted to listen to it more and more. Just the thought of it horrified her. Her soul wanted to obey him, but in the end, her will and common sense prevailed.

"I need to see Kadyn," she said and stood up. Kadyn had removed her vampire bloodline, but it seemed there was still something wrong with her body. Even I am having such a hard time resisting that voice. No vampire could do it with the blood flowing through their veins.

[Arura Continent]

"Kill these bastards!" shouted a Mature Stage mage, an elf, as he cast a wood-type spell, piercing through a vampire in front of him and blocking the attack of a Blood Tribe’s warrior.

Behind him, there was an army of elves, humans, dwarves, and demi-humans. There was a small amount of fairy’s and jinns mixed in their masses. There was a legend about jinns that they used to be the most powerful race on the Pengolla, but now they were so weak that they lived in seclusion, away from the people, and tried to preserve their bloodline.

The fairies were tiny, with wings behind their backs, and they were not good at fighting. However, their healing spells were the most effective and miraculous. They were a great assets to any army or nation even with the apparent weakness. Like jinns they had also lived in seclusion, but now the entire Pengolla was about to fall apart, therefore they had come out to face the common enemy, although they did not like humans, elves, or dwarves much.

The people at the front were covered in armour and weapons and other magic artifacts, like speed boots, defense rings, or even flying wings. However, people in the back did not have such luxury. Nonetheless, no one dared to slack in this situation. This was a do-or-die situation. This was their first battle against the abominations that had come out of the Well of Suppression to destroy and kill and rape their loved ones.

The Blood Tribe had glittering horns on their heads and ebony wings behind their backs. Their sharp, long nails were their weapons and their thick skin was their armour. Their crimson eyes glittered with terrifying savagery and their fangs induced terror inside everyone’s hearts.

However, no matter how terrified they were, they did not back down in front of these abominations. If they did, they would definitely lose their lives and then it would be their loved ones. They did not have an option, and when people did not have an option they could do the impossible, and defeating these abominations did not seem impossible.

"Kill!" another shout echoed and the two sides continued to clash with each other. There was also a massive number of vampires behind the Blood Tribe, fading and appearing from the shadows, assassinating their enemies.

The spells flew and landed in all directions, blood spattered on the ground, painting it crimson. The corpses lay down, some of them still had eyes wide open, shock and bewilderment written on their faces, and some of them had no face left at all, it had blown out of their shoulders.

It was a hell on earth. Never seen before the battle was taking place at this moment. No one knew how many had died and no one knew how many they had to sacrifice in the future. Nonetheless, they had to do something. They had to fight and kill, even though some were unwilling to become murderers. This world had turned into a jungle--in the jungle strong gets all and the weak gets nothing. Not even their lives.

Although vampires and the Blood Tribe were vicious and without any fear, unlike humans, and attacked without any regard for consequences; the elves, humans, and other races did not lose to them. This was the time the potions and artifacts that they were wearing came in handy, saving their lives when they were supposed to die. Furthermore, this was the first time they had encountered such high-quality goods.

Not even elves could produce such amazing potions, neither dwarves could make artifacts such as they were using at the moment. They were too good to be true. But they were in their hands.

"I think we do not need to interfere this time," said one of the shadows standing above the clouds with a few others.

"Do not be so sure," said another voice. "We do not know what the Blood Tribe planned to do. If they send high-level members of their tribe, we have to also step into the battle."

"Nonetheless, these potions and artifacts have helped us a great deal this time," said a woman.

"No doubt about it," said the second voice. "This boy, Kadyn, is pretty talented."
